Estimation of the load-bearing capacity of tubular cantilever beams containing through-thickness circumferential U-notches

چکیده
This paper provides a methodology for the structural integrity assessment of tubular beams containing U-notches, and particularises analysis to case cantilever through thickness U-notches. The is based on combined use Failure Assessment Diagrams Theory Critical Distances, with BS7910 as reference fracture document. results, obtained in Al6060 PVC (Polyvinyl chloride) beams, demonstrates that proposed approach accurate predictions failure loads.
